A.V.A. Ballet Theatre and the Reno Phil's The Little Mermaid

 

The spring gala season for A.V.A. Ballet Theatre opens with the classic ballet The Little Mermaid on May 1^st and 2^nd at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Choreographed by Alexander Van Alstyne, The Little Mermaid is the captivating story of the beautiful mermaid and her dreams of becoming a human. A dashing prince, a sea witch, crabs, and jovial eels have starring roles in this fantasy adventure. This classic story is filled with mesmerizing dance, intrigue, and is fun for the entire family. The Reno Phil with Jason Altieri as the conductor will perform the exciting score.

 

 

The Saturday May 1^st performance will be held at 8pm and the Sunday May 2^nd performance will be at 2pm. Due to the pandemic, there will only be 250 patrons allowed at each performance. A.V.A. Ballet Theatre is the resident ballet company of the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
