A.V.A. Ballet Theatre and the Reno Phil Present Frozen

Reno, NV - The spring gala season for A.V.A. Ballet Theatre opens with the enchanting new ballet Frozen on April 22nd and 23rd at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. Choreographed by Alexander Van Alstyne, Frozen, the ballet, is the captivating story of the Snow Queen written by Hans Christian Andersen. When their kingdom becomes trapped in a perpetual winter, Alana joins forces with mountaineer Kai to find Alana’s sister, Snow Queen Ella, and break the icy spell. This classic story is filled with mesmerizing dance, intrigue, and is fun for the entire family. The Reno Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the exciting score. Jason Altieri will be conducting the orchestra.

Outstanding guest principal dancers from throughout the country will perform with the large cast from A.V.A. Ballet Theatre.

The Saturday April 22nd performance will be held at 8pm and the Sunday April 23rd performance will be at 2pm. Ticket prices for adults are $30 to $60. Ticket prices for children 12 and under and seniors 65 and older are $25 to $55. A.V.A. Ballet Theatre is the resident ballet company of the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts. They are northern Nevada's largest company under the instruction of a professional faculty with years of performing experience in renowned metropolitan ballet and production companies across the United States and Europe.
